Up to World War I
We have products in stock dating from the early 1700s up to world war one, when generally design and production, became focussed on the war effort and did not restart until the mid 1920s.
1920s to 1940s
This period saw great advances in designs, across many areas from houses to fashion. Normally identified by more angular designs (especially when compared to the art-nouveau period of 30 years earlier).
1950s to 1970s
Following the second world war, new inspirations for design starting slowly to appear and then took off during the 1950s and into the 1960s, Ercol being a prime example, whose quality furniture continues to be popular (and be of good value) today.
1980s Onwards
Quality contemporary items have a place in most homes, as a source of decoration to brighten spaces or a funky functional piece, such as a lovely glass bowl for fruit.
